Welcome to our region's website!

"The said Constitution [shall] be never construed to...prevent the people of the United States, who are peaceable citizens, from keeping their own arms." Those are the words of Samuel Adams at the U.S. Constitution ratification convention in 1788. History is clear on the importance of the Second Amendment and the freedom it insures. Unfortunately, that freedom is often questioned and denied today. Through the Friends of NRA program, we are changing public perception, turning back the tide of misinformation, and introducing new participants to the shooting sports. Last year in North Carolina, we spent over $223,000.00 in support of local shooting programs, including the Boy Scouts of America, 4H, JROTC, FFA, Hunter Safety Teams, Eddie Eagle, Women On Target, Refuse to be a Victim, and Hunters for the Hungry, just to name a few. Join us in  defense of our Second Amendment rights and national heritage.

This site will keep you up to date on local events and activites that you can support and participate. Please visit the Contact Us page if you want to receive more information on any of our programs.

Mission Statement

Established in 1990, The NRA Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that raises tax-deductible contributions in support of a wide range of firearms public related public interest activities of the National Rifle Assoc. of America and other organizations that defend and foster the Second Amendment rights of all law-abiding Americans. These activities are designed to promote firearms and hunting safety, to enhance marksmanship skills of those participating in the shooting sports, and to educate the general public about firearms in their historic, technological, and artistic context. Funds granted by the NRA Foundation benefit a variety of constituencies throughout the United States, including children, youth, women, individuals with physical disabilities, gun collectors, law enforcement officers, hunters, and competitive shooters.
